O Christmas Tree
A tradition in my family is to have Christmas Eve dinner. My mom’s side of the family gather at my grandparents house to serve dinner and have a gift exchange with my cousins. My grandparents set an array of food, but we always have prime rib as the main course. It is a food dish my family enjoys and what we look forward to. The sides of the course include potatoes, cranberry sauce, bread rolls, corn, and different casseroles. After we enjoy the main dishes we ave pumpkin or lemon meringue pie.
After we have had our dinner, we all sit by the Christmas tree and pass out the gifts. There are cards on the tree for each of us to have and there are gifts underneath the tree for everyone. We sit around and laugh and then it is time to leave. I love being able to look forward to Christmas Eve because I get to see my family. On the way home we make sure to listen to Christmas music and go around the neighborhood looking at Christmas Decorations. When we finally make it home we get settled and head to bed because the next day is Christmas.
