A Christmas Story Tradition

Every Christmas Eve starting at 8:00 PM, the classic movie ‘A Christmas Story’ is on TBS and TNT for 24 hours. That’s 24 hours of watching Ralphie shoot his eye out! Watching the movie is particularly my family’s tradition, but others have said that this is their tradition as well.

To my family, Christmas isn’t Christmas without this movie on in the background for all 24 hours. While our family unwraps gifts, the movie plays in the background as part of our tradition just to keep the spirit going. While we have Christmas dinner, this movie plays in the background. When we aren’t actually watching it, like when we are eating, we listen to it and enjoy every minute of it.

If you’ve by some crazy chance never seen the 1983 classic ‘A Christmas Story’ give it a watch. It is on the channels TBS and TNT from 8:00 PM Christmas Eve night until 8:00 PM Christmas Day night. Maybe watching this movie for 24 hours on Christmas will become you’re tradition too!
