Throughout the New Year’s, many have developed their own superstitions. Some range from bringing in new luck for the New Year to how the rest of the year may be spent. While some superstitions can be understood, some are considered crazy.

One example of keeping luck for the new year would be to not do laundry nor to clean as it can be considered “washing” away luck for the year. One that is widely adopted throughout the world would be the midnight kiss as the one you kiss is considered to be your lifelong love. A less popular one would be carrying around an empty suitcase to invite new adventures into one’s life.
