Happy Valentine’s Day to Me! I Love Me!
Everyone knows the celebration of Valentine’s Day, but have you ever heard of Galentine’s Day? Galentine’s Day is a celebration as a time to celebrate friendships among women on February 13th.
The history behind it was made in 2010. A woman named Leslie Knope decided before Valentine’s Day she wanted to bring her closest gals for a little brunch. Leslie said, “Every February 13, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home and we just come and kick it, breakfast style.” Since then Galentine’s has always been a thing because of Leslie. So, for all the single ladies you should really thank Leslie for her amazing idea.
Some ways to celebrate Galentine’s Day are by going on a spa day, eating at your favorite restaurants with your gals, baking a cake and eating with your friends, or Staying home and pampering yourself. Don’t think you need to find someone on Valentine’s because you and your friends are much better off.
For all the ladies out there, make sure to do a Galentine’s Day with your besties!
