Elementary Students Love to Read!
Read Across America Week will occur next week from February 27th through March 3rd.
Jefferson-Morgan Elementary School is celebrating Read Across America Week for all its elementary students next week. Additionally, there will be theme each day of the week where students can participate in and dress up. The themes with their respective days are the following:
- Monday, February 27th: We Positively Love Books – Wear a shirt with a positive message.
- Tuesday, February 28th: Book Character Day – Dress like your favorite book character.
- Wednesday, March 1st: Dress for Success – Think about your future and what you’re striving to be when you grow older. Dress up as that profession.
- Thursday, March 2nd (Read Across America Day): Reading Gives Us Superpowers – Show the school how reading has made you powerful. Come to school dressed as your favorite superhero and/or a shirt that makes you feel powerful.
- Friday. March 3rd: Reading Gives Us School Spirit – Which classrooms will have the most school spirit? Wear orange/black gear.
Also, the classrooms with the most students dressed in orange and black on Friday of next week will win a pizza party! All students are still required to follow the school’s dress code.
