Juniors Visit National College Fair
The top 18 ranked juniors of Jefferson-Morgan School District visited the National College Fair on February 8th at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.
Every year, Ms. Caffrey and Mrs. Herold take the top 18 ranked students on the National College fair. This gives the students an opportunity to talk with and get an idea of which college they should attend. They got to ask what courses are offered at each college and the colleges were there to help explain which actions to take to enroll in a course for a career of their choice.
Some students got a lot of good experiences from this and perhaps already know where they will attend college in the future. Student Kayla Larkin said, ”I liked learning about colleges from all around and I got more knowledge about colleges I’m looking at.” This proves that the trip was a success and really helps students prepare themselves and send them down the right path.
Another student, Jenna Cyr, said, “I liked that we had the opportunity to explore colleges from other states and even out of the country.” Well it looks like the trip was worth it. That’s two!
There isn’t much more information to include about this trip to the college fair. However, the trip was well worth it for these students who are looking for the best choice of college for their preferred career. Success is the key!
