As the school year comes to an end, summer traditions come. Such as backyard barbecues, during the summer one of the most known U.S traditions are the barbecues. These events are where family and friends gather and enjoy a nice summer day outside grilling food.

These are more popular towards special occasions, or holidays such as Memorial Day weekend, the 4th of July, or Labor Day. Families and friends will cook an array of food, the guys have the priority to grill hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill, while the women are tasked with the appetizers, like fruit salads, fries, or any other little foods to have along with the main course.

As the day settles and it is becoming dusk, there are sometimes bonfires where you roast marshmallows over the fire. While the fire is burning you just talk and have fun. The kids run around catching lightning bugs, laughing, and playing. After all, this is definitely a great tradition as it brings together family and friends to enjoy some food and hang out.
