On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!
On Wednesday May 17th the elementary had their annual track and field day. The track and field day has as least 10 different events displayed. This event is open for kids in 4th-6th grade. Each homeroom represents a different country, they carry a flag and their country’s name onto the field while the country’s anthem is played.
You can sign for 4-5 events, to represent your country. The top three scores are recorded and announced with medals. This year some of the countries represented were France, USA, Sweden, Greece, Italy, and Spain. There were 9 countries overall including 4th-6th grade.
There was music playing, DJed by Mr. Rozak, there were also food and beverages for sale. Alongside the Rocket Concession, was Kona Ice. They were selling shaved ice as a refreshment for cooling down, and for your own enjoyment.
