This year I want to make our school hallways like a winter wonderland with our winter doors. As the winter season approaches, it is the perfect time to spread some cheer and create a winter wonderland.
Start by covering the door with a large, light blue sheet of paper to resemble a snowy sky. Then cut out different shapes and sizes of snowflakes from white paper. Arrange them in a pattern across the door, creating flurries of snow. You can even add a touch of sparkles by using glitter or metallic paper for some of the snowflakes.
We can’t forget about the snowmen. Cut out snowman shapes from colored paper or use pre-made snowman cutouts. Decorate them with cheerful faces, colorful scarves, and top hats. Arrange these frosty friends near the bottom of the door, as if they are welcoming everyone into the winter wonderland.
Icy icicles are another great element to incorporate into our winter wonderland. Cut out icicle shapes from silver or blue paper and hang them from the top of the door, creating a shimmering effect. You can also add some cotton or white tissue paper to resemble snow covered ledges where the icicles hang.
Charming chalkboard to create a touch of the winter wonderland by using colored chalk to write a seasonal greeting or a fun winter themed quote. Students and teachers can also leave messages or draw their own winter inspired artwork.
Transforming a teacher’s door into a winter wonderland is a wonderful way to celebrate the magic of the season by incorporating snowflakes, snowmen, and icicles. Be creative and have fun.
