One of the most common and simplest Valentine’s Day traditions are gift exchanges. These gifts can include chocolate and/or other candies, Valentine’s cards, money, or even expensive jewelry. It all depends on who your Valentine’s “is”, or maybe “are” if you have multiple. Some people do these gift exchanges with their friends rather than just their significant other.
Valentine’s Day gift exchanges can be very fun! There’s multiple ways you can do them, too. Some people can do an anonymous gift exchange, similar to Secret Santa. You can also do something as little as exchange cards with each other and get multiple for each of your friends or partner. Expensive jewelry is the best way to show your love to your significant partner. It’s the best time of year to get your “other half” a new ring or watch to really display your appreciation for that special person. Another gift exchange, or something that falls under it, are the Valentine’s Day box candy pass outs we did in elementary. Every student would make a box and would pass out candy to their classmates.
These gift exchanges are a great and fun thing to do for someone or multiple people. It can even make you feel better doing it with your friends if you don’t have that one person to call your Valentine this year. Also, it can make up for a Secret Santa that might not have went all too well.
