Valentine’s Day, celebrated all over the world, is known for being the “day of love.” Couples everywhere get together and celebrate their relationship on this day. It has become a significant cultural and religious celebration of romance in many regions of the world.
Argentina celebrates a Week of Sweetness instead of Valentine’s Day. This is celebrated in July, and is very similar to Valentine’s Day. Lovers exchange kisses, chocolate, and other sweets as a token of their appreciation for each other.
South Korea celebrates Valentine’s in a very different way than other countries. They have different celebrations rather than Valentine’s Day like the “day of roses” and the “day of kisses.” The “day of roses” is celebrated in May, while the “day of kisses” is celebrated in June.
The Philippines celebrates Valentine’s Day by having an act of public service. Many young couples get together and throw house parties, or Gala events. They throw those things to show their love and appreciation for each other, and their community.
