Geoffery Chaucer did nothing with the Roman martyrs, but this had to do with English literature, and had saw they had created a connection between Saint Valentine.
There was a poem named Parlement of Foules that appeared on Valentine’s Day It was the first written poem that had some love connection. Shortly after Chaucer mentioned love on Valentine’s Day about real lovers sending each other love poems on February 14th. Since then people have been writing poems to their loved ones for over 500 years. Eventually, the guy did get murdered later on by the ancient Roman pagans, but it was an amazing story of Valentine’s Day!
