Easter is more of a Christian holiday, but just about every religion celebrates Easter. The celebration is about Jesus Christ’s resurrection on the third day after he was crucified. Easter takes place after the Great Vigil, which is placed on a Saturday night when the sun sets and until the sun rises the next day on Sunday. Those two days are supposed to resemble the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
