Everyone looks forward to the Easter Bunny every year, but where did she come from?
The Easter Bunny started with German Lutherans, where the “Easter Hare” played the role of a judge of whether children were good or disobedient at the start of the season of Eastertide. The Easter Bunny would carry colored eggs, candy, and sometimes toys to the homes of children the night before Easter Sunday. This tradition made its way to America with German immigrants in the 1700s, mostly in Pennsylvania. Over time, it became a tradition all over the United States with the Easter Bunny being a main symbol of the holiday.
