The week of March 4 to March 8 was National School Breakfast Week. In celebration, Jefferson-Morgan Elementary hosted “Breakfast with Buddies.”
“Breakfast with Buddies” took place on March 5, 6, and 7. On these days, parents and/or family members were permitted to go eat breakfast with their children. The event took place in JMES’ cafeteria and gymnasium, lasting from 7:30 to 9:00 AM each day.
“My favorite part was getting to eat breakfast with my sister.” Piper Manning said after being asked what her favorite part of this celebration was.
On March 5, breakfast was with pre-k, kindergarten, and first grade. March 6 is second and third grade, and March 7 is fourth, fifth, and sixth grade. There was a limit of two guests allowed per student, and guests were required to pay in cash for their food. Their options were beverage only, a la carte item, or a full meal. The week’s theme had been surf’s up.
“I did it to be moral support towards Jacie.” Elisabeth Hollerich said when she was asked what made her go as part of student council.
