Ms. Bliss is Ms. Huba’s student teacher for this year at Jefferson-Morgan High School. For her own college education, she is currently enrolled at Waynesburg University. She was placed at Jefferson-Morgan by her field coordinator Melissa Woods.
Bliss’ inspiration for pursuing education is the desire to help others and help them learn new things, whether it be of the world or themselves. What she enjoys most about being a student teacher is being welcomed into the classroom by her students. She likes that she’s teaching others while being taught herself.
Bliss currently is unsure of where she will pursue her role in education after graduation this year, but she looks forward to where she ends up teaching. She has one piece of advice for those looking to go into education, and it is to not let others stop you, no matter the stigma placed around teaching or backlash you receive.
