As of April 6th, fishing season has officially begun.
The season lasts until September 2nd 2024. This is perfect for summer. You can go to your local park, river, or lake to have a good time and catch some fish. When you turn 16 you are required to get a fishing license and anyone under that age is required to get a youth licence. There are different seasons for different types of fish so make sure you are getting the correct fish for the current fish season.
Not only can you stay local, but you can look into going on trips on boats for a weekend and explore different areas of Pennsylvania or different states. Some hot spots for fishing trips are Eerie, Somerset, and Lancaster. If you are bored and wanna try something new fishing can be a new hobby. This is the perfect summer activity if you enjoy being outside and being in nature.
