The Jefferson Morgan Elementary School had its annual Play Day on May 22nd, 2024 from Pre-K to Third Grade. The High Schoolers from the Student Council came down as staff to help the kids have the best experience at Play Day. This was at Parker Field and was from 9:15 AM to 2:00 PM.
There were some different obstacles that the students had to overcome. For our younger kids, they had Bean Bag Toss only for Pre-K and Kindergarten which was very intense when the kids couldn’t drop them. Then we had a long jump which all the kids had so much fun doing. There was also a 50-yard dash which was so much fun for everyone including the high schoolers and the people watching because everyone cheered for a certain color. The school also had a softball throw, which impressed everyone with the younger kids throwing some that went far across the football field. Last but not least was the tug of war. The kids loved this one just because they got to go against all of their friends. The high schoolers even had so much fun cheering on the kids.
To conclude, this was a complete success for everyone. Besides the sunburn and the hot weather, everything went so smoothly!
