Thanksgiving is a great time to celebrate with friends and family over dinner, it’s also the holiday before Christmas. The most hectic time of the year. Some people may even get their Christmas shopping out of the way before Thanksgiving and celebrate early!
Some people celebrate Christmas early on Thanksgiving, because maybe something may be going on with a family member, travel, work so some people figure it’s better to celebrate at Thanksgiving when the whole family is there. And others just don’t want to celebrate both holidays with the same family and may switch from mother in laws side of the family on Thanksgiving to your mom’s side of the family on Christmas.
Last but not least, some people just want to only celebrate one holiday with their family and maybe have it quiet the next holiday. It’s easier to give presents at Thanksgiving than having to have the possibility of paying for shipping to give them their presents.
In conclusion, Thanksgiving can be considered Christmas for some families due to many different possibilities. Thanksgiving is all about thanks for the things you are grateful for, so receiving presents then would also make sense and everyone already has their feast made. It’s just an overall good time to spend with your families, no matter the traditions!
