Window Renovation
Jefferson-Morgan High School is under construction for new windows. The new windows are part of the overall renovation. The windows that will be renovated are from the elevators down to the front of the building.
The old windows were put in in the 1950s. The new windows are made with energy efficient double- pane glass. The windows that are in the educational part of the school were installed in 1985 and are double pane, so they will not be replaced.
For the safety of staff and students, temporary walls are in place so that the construction zone is a confined area. On February 29th, the windows will start be removed and the installers will place new windows in at the courtyard. On March 2nd, the windows at the front of the school will be removed and the installers will replace those with new windows. Temporary walls will soon be installed on the overpass.
The project should be finished by March 8th. During the time of construction, the students and staff are asked to take extra precautions while around the construction zones.
