Erin Confortini
Erin Confortini is a finalist for the Coca-Cola Scholarship Program.
“When I applied for the Coca-Cola scholarship, I did not think I would become a finalist because it is a national competition.” Going into senior year means applying for many scholarships to help pay for college. Jefferson-Morgan’s guidance counselor, Mrs. Herold, has been keeping all of the students up to date about the many scholarships that are out there. The scholarship was open to students all over, bringing in about 86,000 applicants.
Coca-Cola chose nearly 1,000 students to be finalists, and Erin Confortini was lucky enough to be one of those. Erin said that she found out she was a finalist through email. Once she found out about being a finalist, Erin said that she was happy and a little surprised.
She is very involved in high school, participating in many different activities and clubs. “I participate in basketball, volleyball, and track and field. I am also a part of the drama club, academic team, leo club, and national honor society.” Along with feeling happy about her recent achievement, Erin said she also feels proud of herself.
Being a senior in high school means getting ready for the future. Erin Confortini is excited to be graduating, but a little sad to leave the school and her friends. Her plans after high school are to attend college, although she does not know where yet.
