Jefferson-Morgan Centennial Lions Club has selected Sean Sijtsma as its student of the month for May.

A son of Nicole Sijtsma of Rices Landing, Sijtsma is a senior at Jefferson-Morgan High School. Sijtsma is enrolled at the Greene County Career and Technical Center and studies Emergency Protective Services.

Sijtsma is a member of HOSA, a class officer of EPS, and he is a member of National Technical Honor Society.  He participated in Skills USA.

Sijtsma volunteers at the Greene County Humane Society.

Sitjsma plans to enter the Airforce upon graduation.  His intentions are to earn a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.  His future career is police work as a homicide detective.
