On a snow day, my favorite way to spend it is cuddled up with my pup, with some hot cocoa, and a Christmas movie on. This is my favorite because I get to relax and feel so nice and cozy. Sitting next to a fire is also another favorite of mine.  I enjoy watching the flames and just feeling the warmth on my skin. Personally, I would rather do that while I’m with someone special as we sip on some hot apple cider. I do not know what it is about these kind of snow days, but they really make me enjoy what I have and they give me a sense of peace and comfort. This time of year may not be my favorite, because I hate snow, but it is my favorite at the same time. I think I have mixed feelings about it because it is a time when things just seem to flow together. It also brings up a lot of memories I have about these kind of days in my past and the many things I can remember. At my household, this time of year becomes very special as well. As it gets closer to Christmas, this is the time we remember my older brother who has passed away years ago. He has a special place in our hearts and because he passed on Christmas day, we tend to take a few extra moments to appreciate the family we have surrounding us and thank God for the little time and opportunity we had to get to know him.
