Morgan Simkovic is a junior and a member of the varsity basketball team.

Morgan’s biggest fan is her mom and her dad. “My dad always says he is my biggest fan and biggest critic.  After every game he always tells me what I did good and bad,” she said. Her favorite memory from the ten years she has played would be of this year. She is happy to be back on the team after not playing for a couple years. It’s a fresh start with a new coach and a great bond with the teammates.

Morgan was very excited she got to start in her first varsity game. She was nervous at first but once in the game and playing she was just focused on the game and winning. They work hard as a team to achieve one thing and that is to win that game together.

When asked, what kind of advice would you give to underclassmen Morgan said, “Play each game like it’s your last.” Her favorite professional basketball player is Michael Jordan the reason why is because they told him no over and over but he never gave up.  No matter what you should never give up and that is what Michael Jordan did, he never gave up.

Simkovic has a long and tough season ahead coming back into basketball after a couple years but she is ready to do what she has to, too be great. The team is glad to have her back and is excited to continue the season with her.
