Katey Wolfe – Athlete Biography
Katey Wolfe is a junior and a member of the girls basketball team.
Wolfe started playing basketball in the second grade. Her older siblings inspired her to play basketball. She has been playing for ten years. She plays the position of forward.
“The diversity is my favorite thing about basketball. With everything you do you have so many other opportunities to switch up plays and different moves to do,” said Wolfe.
Wolfe stated that her jersey number is special to her because it is Lebron James’ jersey number (23). Wolfe stated that the hardest thing about basketball is habit, doing things an incorrect way over and over at a young age and they become natural. Wolfe overcomes this by doing things the correct way repeatedly until the bad habit is fixed.
“My goals for this years season is to do everything I can to help my team in rebound and points. Another goal is to go to playoffs,” Wolfe commented.
Doing hip jumps, touching the bolts of the bus during away games, and listening to music are some of Wolfe’s pregame rituals.
Wolfe plans to be in a high academic program after high school and will sadly continue her basketball career. Good luck to Katey Wolfe and the rest of the girls basketball team this season!
