Brynn Boyd is a freshmen and a member of the softball team.

Brynn has been playing softball since she was 6 years old, at that age she really wanted to try something new. So that motivated her to come out for softball, and the fact that most of her family had played, this is her first year of high school softball though.

Boyd said,  “I was very nervous at first, but after the first inning it was better. Now I just try not to make any mistakes.” Brynn played her first game against Monessen.

Asking Brynn what the difference between middle school and high school softball is, and it sounds like it is the pitching. The pitching is a lot faster and more consistent at the high school level, rather than the middle school level.

Boyd says,”I am looking forward to going to Myrtle Beach this year, and also getting able to play West Greene, they are a very good team this year.”

Being that this is Brynn’s first year she had to pick last for her number, she had said that her number doesn’t really have any significance to her. It was the last number in her size so she really didn’t have a choice.

Brynn says, “I am playing first base this year, which I am nervous about. I just  have to concentrate and not make many mistakes.”

Brynn is looking forward to have an excellent season this year; she is very excited to see how her first year goes.
