Katey Wolfe – Athlete Biography
Katey Wolfe is a junior and a member of the volleyball team.
Katey is an outside hitter, and she has been playing volleyball for JM for 5 years, 3 of those at the high school level. Over these years, she has made many friends and memories through volleyball and her other sports, softball and basketball.
“I would like to thank them for pushing me and practically being family,” Wolfe says of her coaches and teammates. “The Carmichaels v. Jefferson game of sophomore year” is her most memorable moment as a volleyball player.
As an athlete, Wolfe puts a lot of effort into being her best for her sport and her team. She works to be the best athlete that she can be, but it is clear that volleyball is more than just a sport to Katey, as she also takes pride in being a friend and supporter to her teammates.
When asked what 3 words best describe her as a volleyball player, she responded “Driven, Focused, Supportive”. She also refers to her teammates as “practically being family”, which shows that she views them as more than just her team.
Wolfe has accomplished so much, made so many memories, and forged lasting bonds with her teammates throughout her years of volleyball, and she is far from finished! She has set a clear goal for herself as an athlete, and she hopes to accomplish this goal this year or in the coming years.
“My goal is to letter, not only in volleyball but softball and basketball as well,” Wolfe says with determination.
Volleyball has become a big part of her life, and it is clear when talking to her that Katey loves her sport. Her passion and drive are admirable, and those are just some of the qualities that make Wolfe such a great volleyball player, teammate and person.
