Payton Wright is a freshman and a member of the volleyball team.

As a first year member of the volleyball team, Payton has set goals for herself this season. Considering the fact that she is playing a new position Wright wants to improve as a overall player that it might help her as she tries to master her new position as an outside hitter.

When asked what goals she had for this season Wright responded with”I want to become a better player”. Although Wright is playing a new position she still believes that volleyball can be a difficult sport regardless of your position. When asked what is the hardest aspect of playing volleyball Wright said “knowing that I have a responsibility no matter where I play at on the court”.

Wright has been playing the sport for 3 years now and still believes that volleyball can be a difficult sport at times but she also knows that it can be very rewarding. When asked what aspect she enjoys most about playing volleyball Wright said “getting a kill”. Although Wright has been playing for 3 years she still believes that “getting a kill” is the aspect of the game that she enjoys the most.

Wright believes that good things can come for her team this season if they play up to their potential. When asked how she felt about the season Wright said “I feel that we are a strong team and we will have many obstacles to overcome before becoming truly successful”. Wright believes that her team has a lot of potential to be  successful this season and that they will have to play up to that potential to see the results they are looking for.
