Madison Clayton named Clarksville Lions Club November Student of the Month
Clarksville Lions Club has selected Madison Clayton as its student of the month for November.
Clayton, daughter of Jason and Julie Clayton of Waynesburg, is a senior at Jefferson-Morgan High School, where she maintains a 3.87 GPA.
Clayton is a member of Student Council, National Honor Society and Leo Club. She participates in Big Brothers Big Sisters and SADD.
As a member of the 2017 WPIAL Championship Waynesburg soccer team, Clayton was recognized as the second highest scorer in WPIAL history, and she holds the record for most goals in one season (57) as well as most goals in career (142) at Waynesburg. As a two-season captain for the team, Clayton is a four-time all-section player, a three-time all-WPIAL athlete, and she was a member of the 2016 and 2017 section championship teams. Clayton was recognized by the PA Soccer Coaches Association as an All-State player, and she was named to the Post-Gazette All-Area team.
Clayton spends time supporting Greene County Youth Soccer and participating in Clean-up Day. She was also a volunteer for the Donna M. Furnier golf outing.
In January, Clayton will attend the University of Pittsburgh where she will study sports medicine.
