With fall coming up many people are looking forward to Halloween. Halloween is a holiday celebrated globally on October 31st every year. Halloween is a day that adolescents dress up in scary or creative costumes, and go around getting candy from different houses in their communities.
Halloween is a very popular holiday. Halloween originated from the ancient Celtic holiday, Samhain. Originally, Halloween was said to be the day the dead returned to their homes. The wearing of costumes on Halloween was believed to ward off spirits and ghosts. Now, Halloween has evolved into a fun tradition where kids and adults go get candy from people in their neighborhoods, better known as “Trick or Treating.” Many people carve pumpkins and have parties for Halloween.
