Being Thankful
This year I am thankful for my family. I have recently been helping out a friend who has been having family issues and it makes me realize how much more thankful I truly am. Lately, my family has been super supportive about the things I am currently participating in. I cannot say they have not always been, but it seems the older I get the more supportive they become. Now that I am 18, I am becoming more of an adult and having to do things on my own. Helping out my friend has really shown me that family is more important than we actually think. Being able to come home to a house full of love and comfort is more than I could ever ask for. It is not often I show my appreciation, but this is one time where I would take a moment to thank my family. Family is everything to me and I know I would be so lost without them in my life. The littlest things that happen to me because of my family are truly a great blessing. I have become more thankful of them every day that goes by knowing they love me with all they have. It is natural for all of us to take advantage of what we have and the people we are in contact with, but it means a lot to any family hearing how appreciative you are. Taking a small moment to step back and appreciate is what I feel I need to do now and again.
