More than 100 Palestinians were killed and hundreds wounded when Israeli troops shot many people waiting in a food line in Gaza City.
Israeli authorities decided to release footage of crowds of people swarming to the aid trucks, and placed blame on the fall of the crowd and truck drivers and said fewer than 10 of the casualties were a result of Israeli open shots. The Health Ministry spokesman said about 112 people were killed and 760 wounded. These Palestinians were targeted by the shooters while they were awaiting food aid in Gaza City, where the United Nations has warned of an unprecedented hunger crisis amid the Israeli siege. A Gaza resident who was shot in the leg before getting food stated, “We’ve been eating animal feed for two months.”
The Palestinian Foreign Affairs condemned the massacre and called for an immediate ceasefire to protect civilians.
