Weather radars are saying that there may be possible flooding in the next 10 days in California that are coming from the rivers due to the rain in snow.
Some say that the state’s mountain snowpacks are running well below average for this time of year. The atmospheric river carries more moisture which might cause more heavier amounts of rain and snow. Which would lead to all of the flooding. The storm is to be said to start in northern California, which would cause even more problems with the flood. Atmospheric rivers are highways of concentrated water vapors which go into lakes, and then the lakes go into the ocean.
With this storm coming in it will have fast winds and water levels rising. The national weather service is saying that this storm will bring the heaviest rain to northern California and the Bay Area. With this storm brewing it will cause the snow and elevation in Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado to disappear off the mountains. Which will make the storm even heavier due to all the precipitation that was soaked up. Weather radars are saying that this storm should hit northern California by next Wednesday.
Flood watches have been sent out for the time being to warn people about the oncoming storm. This storm is said to also knock power lines out and house and tree damages. If it does just happen to flood, please go to the highest part of the building you’re in. This storm is supposed to be a very high risk storm that is also very hazardous.
