As storms start to progress and get stronger, so do the predictions for how many hurricanes people think are going to hit the state this year. As hurricane season approaches, a lot of people from Colorado State College who are hurricane researchers. These researchers have 25 names for these hurricanes, but they think only 11 will happen this year. But with more storms coming from different areas, what does that mean for some states? A lot of places have already had floods and tornadoes. 

And with these hurricanes beginning to form, who knows what they have in store for this year’s storms. Most of the hurricanes are forming in the Atlantic ocean and making its way west. And with all the rain coming this way that means more flooding for some states. Some states were hit with heavy rain storms which caused flooding and damages in some areas. There were also 3 tornadoes spotted in Kentucky which caused a lot of destruction. 

Back in 2022 Kentucky was hit with a powerful storm which caused a 100 year flood. A lot of places were flooded and are still recovering to this day. People even say that it’s gonna take years for the state to go back to looking the way it used to. But lets hope that nothing like that will happen to any other state.
