Derrick Rose, the number one overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft announced his retirement. Rose won the MVP in 2011. He was and still stands as the youngest player to win the award. Rose was a great player, but very injury-prone throughout his career. When announcing his retirement he had nothing but good things to say about the journey of his career, and was very appreciative to his fans and the people that supported him throughout the years. Rose posted his retirement on social media, and in newspapers of each city of the teams he played for.
