Being Thankful

The holidays are all about being thankful. Being thankful amplifies the good; the good things, the good people, and even the good in ourselves. Be thankful for the gathering of your family and closest friends are most important during the holidays. Be thankful for being able to see those friends and family that you do not really get to see outside of the holidays. Enjoy all the laughs you together and the sense of belonging. Be thankful for the food that you and your loved ones get to share and feast on. Everyone loves a good home cooked meal followed by dessert with grandmas baking skills. Be thankful for the place where the gathering is being held, whether it is your home, someone else’s home, or even somewhere else. Cherish the memories that you are making those days and remember them for a lifetime. Also be thankful for the time that you get off of school or work for the holidays. Everyone can use a few days off here and there. Be thankful for the beauty of the holidays; the lights, the candles, the scents, and the ornaments. Overall, be thankful for whatever you have. Some people are not as fortunate as others and have a lot less.
