Dylan Crockard is a sophomore and participates in the rifle team for Jefferson Morgan.

To many being on the rifle team takes a great deal of focus and precision. Dylan is a student who defines both of those qualities. When asked about what advice he can give for a beginner, Dylan responded with “patience, and concentration.” Learning can be tricky for those who begin and are new at the sport.

Other than being on the rifle team, Dylan also participates on the football team as a wide receiver and outside linebacker. Training is vigorous due to all the mental aspect of the sport. Dylan trains with targets around his house and gets better with every shot he takes. He has participated on the team for 2 years and is glad he is a part of the team.

Being on the team has taught him many things like patience and having a clear mind to work with. Dylan said his goal this season was to “help his team get the wins.” This shows his determination as well courage to help his team win. His team is excited to see him return as he is clearly a team leader.

Overall Dylan is a leader for the rifle team, and will do anything for his team. Dylan is very excited to be back and is ready to shoot some targets this year. His team and family will wish him the best of luck going into his second year of being on the rifle team.
