Semester changes: positive & negative
After every 2 nine weeks (1 semester), students change from one class/elective to another in that same class period. For example, let’s say you are in Art for 1 semester. After that semester is over you pretty much swap out Art for your next semester class which would be gym. So instead of going to art, you’ll go to gym that whole semester which would be the 2nd semester.
Changing classes/Electives every semester is a fun experience for some kids. The reason why is because instead of staying in one class for the whole year you change it up and go to a different class (In that same period). It kind of adds some excitement for certain kids. Changing classes gives students the opportunity to meet new kids their age or even older. It also gives them the chance to meet new teachers/facility. Changing every semester also gives you the chance to try new things or even find new hobbies.
You just learned your schedule like the back of your hand; you found your new favorite class/elective. Then BOOM, you have to learn a new schedule (or at least some of it) and you lose your new favorite class. Since that happened it bummed your whole entire day! Then you walk into the new class and see your bully or just people you don’t like, so that makes it worse. Then the teacher who’s teaching It is one of the teachers you don’t really like so much. Not to mention none of your friends are in there so you sit there being the awkward person in that class while everyone else is having the time of their lives. That’s the negatives of changing every semester.
