Everyone must be excited for spring to be here so we can get away from the harsh weather Greene County has received this past winter. Some people are excited about spring for many different reasons.

“I am more of a fall person because I love Halloween, but spring is better than winter. I truthfully can not wait to be able to go on walks again without freezing. I’ve really hated the winter weather this year because it was not consistent with the temperature,” Morgaine Harris said.

Some people are looking forward to spring due to spring break. Students at Jefferson-Morgan thought they were not going to have one because they did not have one last year. Spring can mean a number of things, but it mostly means the time to see leaves come back on the tree and slightly warmer weather.

During winter and a portion of fall, it got dark at almost five o’clock, leaving the children no time to spend time together if they have to be home by dark. “I’ve never exactly had a curfew, but my parents never liked me staying out late. I never usually did and even if I did I told them where I was and they were okay with it as long as I was inside a house by eleven,” said Hayley Palonw.

My personal favorite season would have to be spring just because the weather heats up and spring cleaning. Spring is really exciting for everyone because people experience it in different ways. Some may not like the season while others may love it, but that’s their own opinion.
