Reagan Rush – Athlete Biography

Reagan Rush is a senior on the Jefferson-Morgan softball team.

Reagan is the starting catcher for the Lady Rockets softball team. “This is my fourth year playing, just high school. I’ve also been playing softball for 10 years. I have lettered in three of the four years I’ve played softball in high school,” said Reagan. She became interested in playing softball because she once played tee ball. “I grew up playing baseball and wiffle-ball with my cousins in the back yard. I signed up to play softball as soon as I was old enough.”

Reagan feels that the most difficult aspect of playing softball is hitting. Some of her specific goals for this season include winning the section title for the second year in a row. She’s also looking forward to winning as a team and working towards winning the section. Reagan’s best performance from last year’s season was a winning game against Carmichaels at our home field. Reagan will be playing softball in college for Seton Hill University.

Most people have a certain athlete that they look up to. Reagan’s role model is Jessica Mendoza who is an outfielder for Stanford University. “I look up to Jessica Mendoza. I watched her play as I grew up and I realized that she was a perfect role model for me,” said Reagan. Reagan is looking forward to having a great, successful season.

Good luck to Reagan in the upcoming season!
