Joe Confortini – Athlete Biography

Joe Confortini is a senior on the Jefferson-Morgan track team.

Joe participates in the running events as well as hurdles. He has been participating in track for 2 years and he lettered in both years. “For me, most difficult aspect of track is staying away from my back injury. I have a back injury that interferes with me running and it sometimes holds me back,” said Joe.

Coach Friend is the reason why Joe became interested in track. He believed that Joe would be a key aspect to the team and that he would contribute a lot. A specific goal for Joe this season is to run faster than he did last year. Joe is looking forward to making it to sections and qualifiers.

Some students have a professional athlete that they look up to, Joe does not. “My best performance from last year was running the 100 meter dash in 11.8 seconds,” said Joe. “For those who are interested, stay committed. You should always attend practice; go to the weight room when asked or when you should be there. Do stuff that will benefit you in the future,” said Joe.

Good luck to Joe in the upcoming season!
