Zach Shaffer is a senior and a center for the Rockets.

“After playing a hard game, the win and getting a compliment from the opposite team’s coach is pretty rewarding,” said Zach.

Zach is number 65 and has lettered for 3 years and has only played for the rockets in his 6 years of playing football. He believes that the hardest part of playing football is staying low to the ground at all times.

Zach enjoys playing as a team. He feels that the brotherhood of the team is greater than anything. He offers this advice to underclassman, “Play hard at all times and lift in the off season.”

His best performance in a game was in a Carmichael’s game of last year. He had  great blocks, and he had a great game defensively.

Football after high school is not out of the questions. “If the opportunity presents itself, I will,” Zach stated.
