Brooke Diamond – Athlete Biography

Brooke Diamond is a junior and is a hitter for the Jefferson-Morgan volleyball team.

Diamond plays the positions of outside, middle, and right side hitter. She has been volleyball for five years. When asked what the most difficult aspect of volleyball, Diamond answered, “serve receive or serving. All eyes are on you so all pressure is on you when serving. And you ca not put serve receive into words, it is just hard.”

Making friends, staying in shape, and just loving the sport are some reasons why Diamond participates in volleyball. Her goals for this season are to make playoffs. To make playoffs you have to communicate with your teammates. Making friends is key in volleyball so you’ll work better together on the court.

“If you are not willing to work hard, you will never be truly good at the sport. Always be a leader and always help your teammates. Be a confidence booster, not a confidence killer,” is Diamond’s advice for any students who wish to participate in volleyball. After high school Diamond plans to continue playing volleyball because she enjoys it very much.
