Camryn Dugan – Athlete Biography
Camryn Dugan is a senior and is a member of the softball team.
Dugan has been playing softball since she was seven years old. Her favorite thing about softball is, “The bonding experience with her team.”
She said she will not play softball in college but it has had a huge impact on her life.
Dugan plays third base when she is not pitching, she said, “Both positions are okay, there is just a lot of pressure to do well in both positions.”
Camryn says the significance of her number is, “I wear the number six because it was my dad’s number when he played. It has just stuck with me ever since.”
Dugan said, “My dad and his passion for the sport is why I started playing softball.”
Her favorite memory of softball was when the team won the WPIAL Championship in 2015.
Camryn hit a three run homerun in the quarterfinals. She said, “It was one of the last things that my dad was here for. It meant a lot to me, knowing that he heard it on the radio.”
