Jamie Lawrence is a junior and a member of the track team.

Lawrence participates in several events. She runs the 4×100, does the long jump and throws javelin. Lawrence has a special interest in javelin, though.

“I love javelin, that is the best part,” states Lawrence exclaiming her passion for javelin.

This season is Lawrence’s third year of participating in track. She wants to continue getting better because she loves throwing, and watching herself improve.

Lawrence explains that she has made many memories in track. “My favorite track experience was qualifiers last year,” she says.

The track team practices 3-4 days a week and the practices usually last an hour and a half.

Lawrence is looking forward to the Cal Sections the most this season. “It is a really fun meet and all of the schools are there,”  Lawrence said.

One of Lawrence’s goals for this track season is to eventually hit 100 feet in javelin.

Lawrence will continue to do track for her senior year and final year of high school. Good luck to her in track and reaching her goals.
