Back at It Again
I am not a difficult person when it is that time to go back to school. I rather enjoy school at times. I get to see my friends, which is a good thing about school. I never really make a big fuss about buying new a bunch of new clothes, shoes, or accessories. Next school year will be my last year of high school. I have finally made it through all of these years. It is a nerve-racking thought to think that high school is ending for me next year. Even though it is a nerve-racking thought, it is also a warm and happy thought. I have made it to the end of my high school career and will be going to college soon.
Back to school shopping is always the best. That is when I buy all types of new clothes. Jeans, shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, etc. I love buying new shoes for the school year. For me that is the best part about back to school shopping. I never ask for too much while shopping for clothes when the school year starts getting closer. Usually I go through all my clothes to see what does not fit or clothes I will never wear again and then I will go shopping to fill in the places of the clothes I got rid of.
I have never really liked shopping for school supplies. Even though I like school I hate being reminded that I will have to go back very soon once I start to buy school supplies. Every school year I buy a big pack of pencils that I think will last me a good while. What really happens is I use them all is about 2 weeks and then I have to go buy another pack of pencils. It happens to me every year. I use them all and give some to people who do not have a pencil. I do not even know how many pencils I buy in one school year. Another thing that I buy a lot of and go through like crazy is note cards. I use so many note cards throughout the school year. I use them to study for tests, quizzes, and for presentations. I always make sure to buy at least three packs of note cards at the beginning of the school year so that I know I will have some that will last me a while.
Back to school for my senior year makes me think of one thing, college applications. I am excited to go to college, but I am also terrified. It is nice to get away, but scary to leave home and go to a new place without my mom or dad. I will more than likely take my SATs again during my senior year. It is crazy to think that next year I will be a senior in high school and will soon be going to college.
Next year will be tough, dreadful, but also exciting. I cannot wait for it to come sooner, yet I also do not want it to come at all. I can tell already that there are going to be many days where I am going to be stressed to the max.
