Cole Tretinik is a freshman and a member of the boy’s basketball team.

Tretinik has been playing basketball for 8 years now and is loving every minute of it. He is currently a forward for the 2016 – 2017 season and is looking to help his team in anyway that he can. Tretinik would also like to see some improvement on his own game, too.

“I came out for basketball 8 years ago because it just looked fun, and to this day, it still is,” says Tretinik. “To be an effective part of the team, I need to make good passes and score a couple of points. But first, I need to work on my dribbling skills,” explained Tretinik.

As an athlete, Tretinik puts a lot of effort into being his best for his team and his sport. He works to be the best athlete that he can be, but it is clear that basketball is more than just a sport to Tretinik, as he also take pride in being a friend and a supporter to his teammates.

When asked what he likes most about basketball, Tretinik said, “I like the fast pace and unique ways to score.” Also, when asked what three words best describes him as a basketball player, he responded “focused, supportive, and hungry.”

Tretinik has accomplished so much, made many memories, and forged bonds with his teammates. He has a few thoughts on this season and what they need to do to have a great season.

“I think the most important game of the season will either be against California or Carmichaels,” explained Tretinik. “If we can play as a team and not play selfishly, then we can beat California and Carmichaels. Plus, have a successful season,” said Tretinik.

Basketball has become a big part of Tretinik’s life, and it is evident when talking to him that he loves the sport. His drive and passion are admirable, and those are just some of the qualities that make Tretinik such a great player and teammate.
