Paige Stanko is a senior and a member of the track team.

Stanko participates in shot put and discus, although she prefers shot put. To each member of the track team, there is an aspect that is hard to them. Stanko does not participate in any running events.

” I hate having to run, it is just something that I do not like,” said Stanko

This is Stanko’s first year participating in track. To her, track is not all about the scores, it is more about being able to make new memories with her friends. She and her friends enjoy having a little  friendly competition among themselves, like seeing who can throw farther in events like shot put.

Stanko said, ” My goal for this season is to throw farther than my friend Taylor.”

Since this is her first year and the season just began, she has not made a ton of memories, but has made some with her friends at practice. She really enjoys being able to be with her friends and make more memories with them.

“I love being with my friends and being able to make memories while doing track,” said Stanko.

After high school Stanko plans to attend the University of Valley Forge. Although she does not plan to participate in track in college, she enjoys being able to be a part of the team in high school.
