Kyle Clayton is a freshman and a member of Jefferson Morgan’s high school baseball team.

This is Clayton’s first year playing on the varsity team but he has been playing baseball for nine years.  Clayton wears number #18 and stated that baseball is his favorite sport.

One goal the freshman has set for the season is he hopes the team can play well giving them a chance for a back to back section title and continue to be competitive in the wpials. He enjoys getting good hits during a game.

On the baseball field, Clayton believes his main strength is playing defense. Clayton is a young talented athlete. When asked on what area he wanted to focus on strengthening in baseball he replied “becoming more confident as a player”.

A successful season for Clayton and his teammates would be to win another section title. If he could give any advice to underclassmen it would be to “work hard at practice, and always try your best”. Come out and support Clayton and the rest of the JM baseball squad.
