GCCTC Conducts Junior/Senior Interviews
Senior and junior interviews were held at the Greene County Career and Technology Center this week. Seniors interviews took place on Tuesday, February 12th. Juniors interviews took place on Thursday, February 14th.
The interviews required students to dress in a professional manner. For men, this meant to wear a suit jacket and slacks with a shirt and tie, or a sweater and button down. For women, this meant a blouse and dress pants or a statement dress. All students were required to cover tattoos and piercings.
“I feel that it’s getting us ready for the real world,” said senior Katelynn Messina before the interview.
Although these interviews are only preparing the students for job interview in the future, in some cases students are hired right out of high school. The employers that interview each student are from the line of work that the student takes as a course at vo-tech.
“I’d like to believe I’m confident. I feel like I’ll do good and that my answers will be professional and straight forward,” said junior Mari Rose Bowden.
Amanda Riley is a senior and a first year journalism student.
